Resident Life

Our Residents live all over the NYC area. We have protected hours on Tuesday nights, and we love to gather at that time. Outside the hospital, we can frequently be seen gathering with our Mentor/Mentee families, running in Prospect Park, enjoying Restaurant Week or even having conference days at an NYC beach or the park!

We have a strong mentorship program at Brookdale; every resident is part of a residency family consisting of a PGY-1, PGY-2, PGY-3 ,and 1-2 attendings. These families typically go out together quarterly and engage in activities like fancy dinners (attendings pay!), escape rooms, axe throwing, casual get-togethers, and more. These sessions are not only fun, but they allow for dedicated time for bonding and mentorship.
